On April 23rd Pike Road Wines held a fundraiser for our friends at Homeward Bound Pets. With silent auction items, raffles and a portion of the day's sales donated we raised over $1000. We met so many new friends and spent time with some of our favorite familiar faces. There's no way we could have done this alone and we have to thank all our partners at: Farmer's Plate & Pantry, The HorseRadish, Cellar Door Wine Tours, Fairsing Vineyards, Furioso Vineyards, Tresori Vineyard, FarmHouse Romance, The Carlton Vet Hospital, Hidden Valley Products, The Republic of Jam, Wallow Gallery and all the area wineries that donated bottles for a mixed case in the silent auction. We are already looking forward to next year and helping more of those little furries find their forever homes.
On Friday July 25th we opened our doors to friends and family and local members of the wine industry, celebrating with Pike Road wines and bites from our neighbors at the Horse Radish. After months of preparation it was great to see the tasting room finally open, with Ari and Margaret welcoming guests with glasses of our brand new Rosé. Everyone had a chance to check out Adam's special ¡Salud! wines in the 100 year old bank vault and were then welcomed into the backyard. How wonderful to toast with our new wines out on the patio on a perfect July evening with loved ones and new friends alike!Read More

"The nose of the 2015 Pike Road Pinot Gris ($15) offers enticing whiffs of citrus, peach, honeysuckle and spring flowers. In the mouth, the wine is crisp yet full, with rich flavors of stone fruits, lemon, lime and ripe melon. Mouth-watering acidity carries all these elements onto the finish."Read More

Summer has officially begun, and Hayley Hamilton Cogill of D Magazine's SideDish blog has a recommendation for your Memorial Day Weekend:
"I usually shy away from a Pinot Noir that is priced less than $20 as this finicky variety need to be finessed, which often means more work in the vineyard, and more cost. However, for an approachable, easy Pinot Noir consider the small production, family owned wines from Pike Road."Read More
